Coming events - what to look forward to

Recent events - what we've been doing

July 2010 - "Rats, it's the plague!" FOTCH has created an hour long, "fun and informative" dramatic session about Medieval life in Hertfordshire that supports the key stage 3 curriculum. Grahame Senior and Vivianne Child presented "RATS" to sixty year 7 students from Tring School at the start of July. The students especially enjoyed the competitive elements of the session, which resulted in a win for Lord Ranulph and his team.

June 2010 - Facebook TRING CHURCH has a facebook page! Why not join the group? If anyone wants to host a FOTCH facebook group for us, then please get in touch at info@FOTCH.co.uk

May 2010 - 21st Birthday Family Fun Day. We had a great day! The weather wasn't at its most friendly, but the church was packed with people, the BBQ did a roaring trade and the maypole dancers showed their Tring bulldog spirit by dancing in the rain. The church was full of music all day which was much appreciated by our largest audiences ever and "Gordon the Bat" made his 2nd appearance and delighted (or horrified) all comers. The highlight of the day must have been the Teddy Tower Terror, which hurled over 200 teddies down the zip wire from the church tower.

April 2010 - FOTCH 100 Club. FOTCH run a 100 club every year where, for £10 a year, you have two chances to win cash prizes. We are currently updating the list of 100 lucky ticket holders. If you would like to join the 100 club email info@FOTCH.co.uk.

March 2010 - FOTCH Planning Lunch Forty FOTCH members sat down to a delicious buffet lunch in the Parish Hall in March. One of the membership benefits of FOTCH is the opportunity to join these twice yearly lunches where we update members on planned activity, draw the 100 club and simply enjoy each others company. Thanks to Barry Child for preparing lunch.

Jan 2010 - Samuel Wesley Festive Evensong. An appreciative congregation sang their way through a Choral Evensong featuring the music of Samuel Wesley. Richard Gryll's invited choir rehearsed in the afternoon and, after a very quick cup of tea, sang their hearts out at 6.30pm. The service, which was led by Revd. Huw Bellis, was a preceded by an amusing précis of Wesley's life, written and presented by Richard Grylls and Vivianne Child.
